Meet the Staff

Front Office

 

Emily

Emily is our office manager and has been working at South Bay Periodontics since 2010. She will assist you with your dental insurance and financial questions and she is also able to get you scheduled for exams and appointments in our office.  Emily is married and has two young children.  She likes to spend time at home working on their their hobby farm and going hunting and fishing with her family.

 
Amanda

Amanda is our Treatment Coordinator and joined our office in 2020. She has been on the administration side of dentistry for many years with a large background in dental insurance.  She will help you navigate your dental benefits and help coordinate your treatment needs. Her favorite part of being in dentistry is getting to meet new people everyday!
When she’s not in the office she enjoys crafting, fishing, and camping with her family.

 

Veronica

Veronica is our billing specialist and she will be happy to answer any billing related questions.  She will do her best to get the most from your insurance and explain your benefits in detail. She just moved to the Washington area from California and loves spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors, especially the Nisqually River.

 

 

Andy

Andy is our second treatment coordinator for our office and has been working in dental since 2020. He can help answer any questions you have about treatments plans, insurance, and scheduling in our office.  He’s from Washington originally and moved to Olympia in 2001 from the east side. He enjoys spending his free time traveling, hiking, and skiing at White Pass.

 

Cady

Cady is our Hygiene Coordinator. She has been an office administrator for over 6 years, with a focus in dentistry since 2022. She is happy to help assist patients with any scheduling needs or questions, both hygiene related and otherwise.

Outside the office she loves to spend her time with her husband and two border collies. They like to go on lots of walks, go herding, and play fetch whenever possible.
 

Maya

Born and raised on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, Maya brings over 7 years of dental experience along with a warm, welcoming personality. Outside the office, she loves beach days, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with family and friends.

Assistants

 

Christie

Christie has been a periodontal assistant at our office for the last 20 years.  Christie will make you feel comfortable from your first visit at our office to your last appointment. Outside of work she likes to spend time with her husband and watch her girls play basketball and soccer.

Silvia

Silvia graduated from the SPSCC Dental Assisting Program in June 2018. 

“I love helping others. Being able to reach out to the Spanish speaking patients is also awesome because I get to help a larger group of people as well. My favorite part of being an assistant is making people feel at ease and comfortable at the dental office!”

Outside of work she enjoys learning new things, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

 

 

Shyla

Shyla is a registered dental assistant and has worked in the dental profession since 2010 specializing in the surgical field. She has a passion for oral and periodontal surgery, educating and helping patients accomplish their dental health goals. Shyla enjoys volunteering her time and skills with the Impact Your Health free dental clinics. 
She is married with 4 children, 2 German shepherds and 1 cat. Road tripping, visiting National Parks, camping and coffee are some of her favorite things!! 
 
 

Layce

Layce is a registered dental assistant.  She graduated from Lower Columbia Dental Assisting Program in 2018.  Her warm smile will welcome you as she brings you back to an exam room.   She helps patients feel comfortable and relaxed.  Her favorite thing about being a dental assistant is seeing patients’ smiles transformed.  Outside of work she likes to spend time with family and explore the outdoors.

 
 

Jasmine

Jasmine always had good experiences growing up going to the dentist and knew that she wanted to enter that field some day. She became a certified dental assistant in 2018 after graduating from the SPSCC Dental Assisting Program.  She does her best to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients to feel relaxed and well cared for.

Outside of work she enjoys weightlifting, going on hikes and spending quality time with her friends and family.

 


Christina

Christina has over a decade of experience in patient care and clinical support—proudly serving in the field since 2013. She was born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, she’s always had a strong connection to the community and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether it’s camping with her family, exploring new parks/trails, or getting lost in a good book, she loves spending time doing what brings her joy.

Outside of the office, she is happily married and a proud mom to a wonderful daughter. Her home is also filled with the happy chaos of three cats and one dog. She brings the same warmth and compassion to her work that she values in her personal life—always striving to create a comfortable and welcoming experience for every patient.

 
 

 

Lecia

Lecia graduated from the SPSCC Dental Assisting program in 2017, specializing in oral surgery and earned her Dental Anesthesia Assistant certification in 2022. She’s passionate about educating patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their oral health.

Outside of the office, Lecia is happily married to her high school sweetheart and is a mom to two little ones. She and her family love spending time outdoors with their Boston terrier whenever they can.

 

Claudia

Claudia has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2021 and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. She enjoys the clinical side of dentistry and takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their smiles.

Outside of work, Claudia enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and walking her dog. She loves being outdoors, staying active, and bringing positive energy to everything she does.


Dental Hygienists

Stacey - Dental Hygienist

Stacey

Stacey graduated from Pierce College Dental Hygiene Program in 2000 and has worked for this office ever since. She enjoys the level of teamwork and camaraderie that all the employees share here. In her spare time Stacey likes playing the flute, rollerblading, baking desserts, hiking & skiing around the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband, Steve.

Emily

Emily graduated from NWCCD in Sheridan, WY where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
In her free time she loves traveling, hiking with her dog, and exploring Washington.
 

 

Jessica

Jessica has worked in the dental field for over 10 years and graduated as a dental hygienist in 2019. She enjoys getting to know each patient, learning about their specific needs and health goals. Jessica has a community health background and is passionate about working with those who struggle with periodontal disease. When not in the office, she enjoys baking, crafting and spending time with her daughter. 

 

Angel

Angel developed a passion for patient care during his time as a combat medic in the US Army. Upon completion of his military service, Angel earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene degree from Pierce College. As a dental hygienist, Angel approaches each appointment with a team-oriented mentality, working with patients to improve their oral health and ensure each visit is a positive experience.
In his free time, Angel enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, fishing, and building computers.
